The first half of the match started with Lechia’s domination that they could not, however, take advantage of. Wisła defended and launched counter-attacks. After several minutes, the game turned into an exchange of punches – attack for an attack, shot for a shot. Traore and Kirm tried their luck but their attempts were saved by the goalkeepers. In time, Wisła began to dominate and they confirmed it with a goal. In the 17th minute, Melikson passed two Lechia players and passed the ball at the 13th meter to Genkov who managed to defeat Paweł Kapsa. After losing a goal, Lechia did not give up and tried to attack. They even managed to score but the goal was not awarded by the referee as Traore was offside. In the 32th minute, Melikson shone again when he raced down the right side of the pitch and passed the ball to Kirm. It was enough for Kirm to stretch his leg and Wisła’s lead grew to 2-0.


In the second half, the pace and emotions went clearly down. Lechia badly wanted to score but Wisła’s defence was too strong. Robert Maaskant’s team controlled the game and endeavoured to score their third goal. Kirm and Genkov were very close indeed, but it was Sivakov who set the score to 3-0 with a beautiful shot from 50 meters!
